Context
This project consisted of creating 4 posters to promote a series of modern iterations of Shakespeare's plays happening at the B Street Theatre. The posters should work together as a set, and also as stand alone pieces.
Posters
For my design, I chose to juxtapose black and white refined drawings with colorful geometric image. The drawings combine symbols of from the plays to create a surrealist object. The backgrounds also uses imagery and symbols from the plays. The objective is to draw in the audience without giving it all away. The titles also play with occurrences within the plays.
Symbols: Skull, ear, crown.
Symbols: Poisonous plant, lips, heart.
Symbols: Female reproductive organs, dagger, hand.
Symbols: Moon, eye, vision, donkey tail.
