California State Parks exhibited at the 2017 California State Fair. The agency needed a design for the digital billboard at the entrance of the venue. There were multiple departments within the agency that were part of the exhibition. The agency also wanted to promote their current social media campaign, #InventYourAdventure.
The digital sign was displayed for seven seconds throughout the day, due to it's location the majority of the viewers were also inside moving vehicles. The design is simple enough to read in a short amount of time, and diverse enough to show the various features the agency offers.
After the digital sign was approved by the agency, they wanted a retractable banner to great visitors at the exhibit. The orientation of the design was changed to suit the medium. The hashtag was dropped, making the banner relevant beyond the specific campaign.
